Crossstitch Creation

In and out of tiny holes
the needle flows
to create a picture with floss
on a blank canvas cloth
punctured with spaces
in which the thread builds
people or places
by making little crosses
patiently xed back and forth
in a stupor awakened only
by a change to another vibrant color.
And then, aaah there ... its done
ready to be framed and freely given
from this exquisitely
priceless space called creation.
