Crossroads

The main crossroads Of life, cars speed Noisily by headed For the intersection Carefree or troubled Times brings a sigh Life's highway can Reject, bisect, inspect, reflect, each direction Set your affections upon things above, my son Then the major highway will head to the right The road will narrow and traffic will get lighter Then you will Know you took The right road At the light Each intersection Will become easier Right choices support A good life Wrong choices Bring much strife Choose the right At the intersection Life will flow Much easier, there Will be bumps But you will Face them with Your strong faith

I love how you wrote your poem in the shape of the cross Sara. Your poem about having half a heart was the first poem I saw on poetry soup last year when I first joined. I love how you do this, and I love the message of this poem.

So many intersections, so many choices. Then the shape adds another layer I think. May the choices be right, and the rewards plentiful. Great write.

Hi Sara, This is a well-written entry for the contest theme. When one comes to a crossroads in life which road do they choose, God willing they are lead by him to make the right choice. Best wishes in the contest. :-)Alexis Soupmail

Alexis, The Bible tells us our responsibility is to pray for people to come to an acceptance of God. If people would pray in general then specifically for individuals then we could see a out pouring of the Holy Spirit and people coming to God. I appreciate your visit. Sara

Delice, Thanks for pointing out my quote that could be added to my quotes. I checked to try and make sure that I did not put in memory something that belonged to someone else and I could not find anything so I guess it is mine. Sara

Brian, Our freedom to choose faith or reject it is the major crossroads in our life. However, I think God can give another opportunity or opportunities but we have to make that choice. We have all kinds of choices in life that will effect our future. We are free to make a choice until we choose then the choice controls the person's life but if God had that way mapped out for you then opportunity can open the door again. Your visits are welcomed and appreciated. You add so much with your comments. Sara

Victor, We live rural and I don't drive much anymore but my husband and I have mostly given up driving in the cities or at least in the Atlanta area. We still do the smaller towns but not at night. I appreciate the visit. Sara
