Crossroad...
It’s quiet here-the birds are sleeping
I’m standing between two roads
And I’m thinking.
I look back now-to a mist covered road
A road worn and steep there-
But I wasn’t all alone
You were with me
I sit down-looking between the roads
They both look hard
And I’m wondering
If I want You by my side
Or if I can do it on my own
I look back-the sun whisks some mist away
I see a mountain
One I nearly had forgotten-oh, how I stumbled
And how I nearly fell astray
Except Your Hand
It held me
I wouldn’t have made it on my own
But You helped me
So I could make it to this road
And sit here thinking
Do I want to go alone?
The wind starts blowing-gently kissing my puzzled face
And I remember
The storms I had to fight
And how I was crying
Begging You to take me home
And how You held me
Gave me a light to walk by
And You saved me
I would not have made it on my own
But You brought me through the storms
Because You loved me
The sun is rising now a little higher-and the birds are waking
I have to choose it now-
I will do it on my own?
Or I’ll go with You?
Yes, You’ve brought me here
But I’m older now
Do I need You?
I’m waiting and I’m thinking
On this road that splits two ways
One road-You’re by my side
The other I am free
But just one more glace behind
And I start walking-
Hand in hand.
