Crossing of Paths

Wandering in the wasteland of the denuded life desolate, the sinuous track took me to the terrain of nowhere. I was entangled in the encircling web of enigmatic conundrum, should I escape from decay delirium, I couldn’t decide. The ingrained imprint indelible of the turning wheel of time, twisted out of tormenting tangle of the tortuous trail of the past, steered with the promise of pride my beleaguered mind out of the maze, showed me the pathway to the fervent fountain of the future. I’d break the invisible barrier there, you had built in seclusion around your secret garden, the blooming flowers hidden from me. As I’d saunter there suffused with the shine of the sunburst new dawn, I’d wish before I walk the last mile, our paths would cross. ________________ September 13, 2022 For A Brian Strand Premiere Choice Contest
