Crossing Limits of Pain

Away from where cosy comforts are lain, Let's learn limits of pain to cross, Giving all conformist wisdom a toss, Let’s kiss unknown acres of new terrain. Pain is the way with new tools to equip, Curiosity no heavens has e’er killed, Without it Eve would have stayed ever stilled In Eden Garden's confines— RIP— Blissful, content like a well-fed sheep, But she faced all consequences hellish, So, let's tie unknown fears on a tight leash, And desert ere its time no raging ship. Let's learn limits of pain to cross, Wait and see how frightening feels the fright— How unbearable, the deepening blight— Let’s give lifeboats to safer shores a toss. As no glory there’s in a spotless shirt, But in search for the exploits of dark night, Let us in such times seek no rescue flight, But in taking pride in embracing dirt. Let’s learn to live: grey in glee with lush green, Leave of absence to our old masks to give, Haply in guiltless guilt to live, To let the world see the way we have been. And if in triumphs— paper with the pen, If safer shores mars no morality, Remember, pain oft pens fine poetry, You cross when all limits of pain. ___________________________________________ Musings |05.02.14 |
