Cross Stitch ------ Contest Entry

Catie Lindsey poetry contest: Let it Be

Cross Stitch

Years do not heal words
stitched into the mind with a needle,
a sharp needle making its point
over and over,
'til every heartstring is used up.

What now?
What can we say to each other?

Just, let it be.

Talented writing my friend that strides beyond the words, and yes, they do not heal but pain has no memory but experience gained.
