Critics' Limit

Is this my processor or a false impression?
A cable on the board smells blazing real.
Could I trouble shoot such noisy beeping,
Or is that beeping all I can hear?
Though the conscious search can be of public best,
Metaphorically configured best as “The Freeway”.
I sometimes felt that I had missed my critics' limit,
Could that be prolific on their very wrathful way?
