Cristi Walked With Me

we left out of the store of dreams
a shopping mart for the lonely hearts
mine was busted i wanted to refund it
as my soul dropped out of the bag

ripped into as i have wasted it so
my heart three sizes too big god is ashammed
of the life lessons torn and scorned
unfinished buisness my days all mourned

as i passed the bakery with fresh breads
there you are again as i scratched my head
i'm lost this is true but you're dead true
why must you follow me for no privacy you

have been right behind me since that turn on red
haven't you any friends for where you can go
to get off the pavements of my shallow cry
as i left out alone until the day i die

i crossed the street swiftly moving my feet
as did you my hand you took i in disbelief
the sky said look we did hand in hand
we walked forever and ever in the eyes on man
