Crimson Velvet

Soft crimson velvet
Strangling, sickening
My pale, soft neck,
Warm candlelit glow,
Crimson velvet.

Black silk gloves,
The threads threatening,
Ribbons reddening my subtle skin,
Slow breathing, lungs tight,
Crimson velvet.

Rose gold pearls
Teasing the pearls flowing
Down the crescent eyes,
Pulse churning,
Adernaline,
Pressured, pressed throat,
Crimson Velvet.

Ghost face,
Crimson face, crimson lips.
Burnt fingertips,
Smoky heart, extra tender,
Crimson Velvet.

' threads threatening, ribbons reddening my subtle skin. ' Sounds painful to me. You've labeled this under depression, along with dark. Thoughts can create many terrifying moments. This is deep and emotional, my dear friend. Your words always touch my heart. Hugs and blessings to you, dear Anne. ~ Brandy

Dearest Anne, Like the velvet itself, soft, suffocating, strangely tender. Like a fever dream staged in candlelight. Tension, beauty, and danger. There’s a haunted elegance in your lines, a ritual of sensation that feels both intimate and mythic. Missed you my friend and glad to see you again. Autumn Blessings, Dearest Anne, Daniel

I'm thinking the agony of unrequited love that could have been velvet. Beautiful imagery throughout, Paige. Did I get the subject right? It is a poem worthy of breaking down for study. sent u soupmail. Never mind mail, u still have no icon & our messages have scrolled away.
