Crimson Red
The dress swayed with the rhythm
Pooling at her feet like blood.
Her hair swung back and forth
As she tried to catch him in the act.
Roses covered her face
Its thorns creating marks
Ones that will never go away.
The ruffles swayed as she moved
The blood pumping and
Swaying at her feet.
Lost in the music
And now focus of her plan
For one moment there was bliss
And then the danger came.
He took her from the partner
The one that was her shield.
She raised the mask
Covered in roses
Concealing the lack of color
That took over her face.
The music slowed,
And his smile grew.
He finally had her
In his arms.
But the smile was a fool,
Taking the music for granted.
His matching tie
To her dress,
Now matched the knife
She threw to the ground.
