Crimson Pools (Blank Verse With Couplet)

The nights of wildness, dancing neath starlight
and swimming, naked, in the crimson pools
all sweet moments when lust began to yearn
for love divine, that craves a darker touch.
The crystal tears I wept, you took them all
to coffers found in twilight's shadowed realm
and found the hunger dancing in my eyes,
reflecting endless beauty in their blue.
So by the lake, pledgings of love in blood
released my soul to soar unearthly plains
no roses mark my grave, or epitaph,
for death has no hold here, where I belong
Now that we dwell as one in love divine
I really can’t think of a smart-ass line.
