Cries of the City

Can you the hear cries,
where the loneliness hide in disguise
Candles are lite for those whom arrived
A place where lost souls are bound to die
This is the place where broken hearts stay broken
Ashes in the sky as if the clouds are smokin
jealous lovers take a sip of the devil's love potion

These are the cries,
not knowing what tomorrow may bring
So much sin in the city, mother earth bears her pain
A war being fought and still freedom bells ring
let peace be upon us a black crow sings
Death is coming soon to a city near you

These are the cries,
with open eyes I've been through
poverty and racism you wouldn't have a clue
These are my tears that I shed to you
