Crescent of Craze

Tender lump, my forehead pulsates in rhythm
Room still sways on harmful hinges of repercussions
I sit staring, pressed up close, aligned with cool glass
The moon, a silver crest lost in a pit of dark uncertainty

Sickly swaying lessens, album greets the carpeted floor
Diamond encrusted, painful white gold; I feed it in fury to the moon
Flames lick at those heart felt letters, fight over empty words
Vodka. How can something so patent can be so intense?

I track its metamorphosis religiously
Each night eyes fixed on the glow
But the face I came to know and love fades soon

Time hinders, i regress, a mole to soil
No calm consideration or hopeful heart
Esteem of mine declines with the sun’s descent
Cry to fill the sink with tears of you

Authentic dresser holds my truths, sure to join the rest
Heap of broken sensations, amber heat, rising smoke
Standstill. Spot last pitiful shreds of paper
The blaze my heart, my heart a blaze

I track its metamorphosis religiously
Each night eyes fixed on the glow
But the face I came to know and love fades soon

Squint at the raw situation, chaotic scene
Back to the shrine dedicated to times relived
Lift the plug, drain or perhaps drown the tears of you
steamy glass, observe once more that silver slither of prospect

Very very powerful write I love free verse and this is an very good one...what a final line! "observe once more that silver slither of prospect" Light & Love (since not many read free verse I'd appreciate your input on mine?)
