Crepe

crepe myrtle loaded with berries.... vehicles breeze by crepe myrtle sways but no wind.... poet wonders~~lightbulb
I was sitting in the truck while my husband was inside a big boy toy store and I noticed this crepe myrtle was swaying like there was some strong wind but I was not feeling it inside the truck. I kept watching then rolled down the window, stuck my hand out, and I look at the trees across the road. Then I start noticing as cars and trucks go by on this four lane road and bam the lightbulb goes off. It is the breeze from these vehicles going by. Sara

Crepe Myrtle is one of my utmost favorite plants, yet I never thought to write her into a poem so now you have for both of us and I thank you.

Amazing isn't it, Judy. I have some in my yard but they are not picture perfect. They are beautiful and I enjoy them but not perfect. I like the imperfect as well. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

What an amazingly pretty tree! I feel a tad bit jealous, we have no such trees in our vicinity! Very lovely!

BJ, I don't know where you live but they might not thrive in your area. You could check it out and maybe add one on your property. Thanks for dropping by. Sara

Victor, Yes, the Crepe Myrtle is a lovely tree and is pruned over here so that it will have more flowers. I like them when they are allowed to just grow naturally but of course, I am little different. LOL..Sara
