Crazy Risk
One very heavy night
Dark, gloomy and pouring
It poured unceasing
Fear augustly visited my sight.
My brothers in the rain
To fetch for our stomachs' gain.
This fear invited my shaking hands
Grabbing hurriedly, tarpaulin weapon
Miry clays.... wetlands
my weary legs struggled upon.
Calmed, I saw my Blood
In a tussle with the flood
My beloved slippers fled
In the cruising angry torrent
After them, I fled
At my sudden surge of passion current.
It was crazy
I slipped, headed for the gully
Liquid fire, burning and hazy
At the edge, my slippers caught equally
Me, the slippers, a losing point
A hand caught me at the joint.
A crazy risk of life
My life and a lifeless thing
For ten hours and a half
i nurtured the worth of living.
