Smith-Gilbert trails — trellises of Georgia roses, the piney scent of conifers, plentiful perennials, the shady pond with splashing koi, the mulberry bowl, hand in hand — my grandson and I.

amid faerie garden
and bonsai forest —
buzz of coneflowers
