Cradle, Cross To Crown
A cradle filled with hay
Our newborn Jesus lay
Born of the Virgin Mary
Sin of man to carry
From the cradle, Mary knew
What Jesus must go through
A world lost and undone
A Savior, He would become
A world who could not understand
The divine purpose of God’s plan
Barabbas, set Him free
Crucify, the man from Galilee
Nailed to an old rugged cross
It seemed all hope was lost
His death to pay the price
His life to be sacrificed
The love shown that day
No man could repay
Bringing life unto the dead
Stood a cross covered in red
A stone rolled into place
At the tomb where Jesus lay
A resurrection to take place
Evidence of God’s Amazing Grace
Death stands in defeat
Victory, so sweet
The grave holds no bondage
No longer Hell’s hostage
A crown of many my Savior wears
Never again a cross to bear
He rules from the Heavens above
Our Savior, our King, our Beloved
Never again to be a lamb slain
The Roaring Lion of Judah, He became
Mediator between man and God
Ruling with an iron rod
He paid the price to set me free
At His name, Satan flees
No greater love, I have found
From cradle, cross to a crown
