Cracked In Velvet

Moon Story

The moon is fractured
by hawthorn trees
cracked in velvet
Twigs formed
act as structure before its mirror
Silver and black,
hopeless and hopeful
as our forever
the frozen superior quietness that rises
silent and slow
reclaiming ancient shadows
washing living ground
