Cowardly Snake

In truth he was a cowardly snake,
Who left when my life was at stake,
Who I forgave in a new take,
Yet he will never be someone for my sake.

I hope someday his heart will break,
Because of how he left mine in ache.
I am sad his soul is another I cannot wake,
Even after trying after realizing he is fake.
