Covid, An Alpha Lines Poem
Covid deaths eviscerate family groups.
It did not have to be this bad,
And people are angry and mad
As loved ones died needlessly.
Reality strikes the unvaccinated viscerally.
Is it my fault my mother died? My father?
Masking up would have made a difference
But those with no scientific background said, “Don’t bother.”
Let’s mask now; opportunity presents
The chance to make it right.
Let us no longer fight
When we could be saving lives.
