Covid Again

"When I was sick and lay in bed I had two pillows at my head All my 'pills'(TOYS) beside me lay To keep me happy all the day" I have finally been tested for a COVID infection Ever since we knew that my husband has the malady I figured that is what I had but I have stayed at home at tried to self medicate I kept getting worse and worse In the wee morning hours on Wednesday I got up sick again and fell My daughters came that morning, called ambulance They said I would have to wait 3 hours in the ambulance Until a empty bed in the ER opened up Of course, with an upset stomach one can't do that They told my daughters what to do and left On Friday, our daughters came and one took me to my doctor And the other took my husband to his doctor They said my husband has a secondary bacterial infection Gave him more meds and he came home My doctor tested me for COVID and I was positive He told my daughter how to care for me He did give me prescription strength meds for nausea and vomiting And the diarrhea ~~the meds did help I am far from being well Our grandson who lives with us is sick also We all came down with symptoms and since he doesn't go out hardly at all just to mental health we had to get the virus in food from a restaurant Anyway, folks this is real and it makes one desperately ill

Kim, I was blessed that I did not have the respiratory part plus the upset stomach part. My husband has had the respiratory part with pneumonia. He has been to the doctor four times and got fluids twice or three times. I think he is better now. It was 21 days yesterday since we both knew we were sick and it is 21 days today that my husband tested positive but it was about 8 days beyond that when I got my test and was positive but I had already been sick two weeks when I finally got the test. Kim, My husband's cousin who lives up the road from us has had it as well. Her daughter either had to get an ambulance to come get her or she took her to the ER. She had pneumonia which made her confused but she is now back home and home health care is coming to help her daughter with her. The lack of oxygen from the pneumonia had her mentally confused. Sara

Demetrios, God is good in the mist of this pandemic. We are blessed even though we have been quite ill so far we have been able to stay at home and rest. A lot of rest. Sara

Joseph, I am a little better. It will be 21 days on Tuesday, August 31 that I have been sick. I was not diagnosed until the following 2nd Friday from about August 10th.. I have had an upset stomach which has been very debilitating for me. Our grandson had the same symptoms and his did not last but about 3 or 4 days but it was not like that with me. I think we got it in some food we brought to our home from a drive-in restaurant. The day matches up with us eating there. My husband is still really weak and taking antibiotics. Sara

Brian, Now my husband has pneumonia and was treated with fluids and meds in the doctor's office and sent home. My upset stomach turned on me and became a bound-up gut but I am better this morning. I still have a stuffy nose and sinuses. We have heard that Tommy's cousin is in the hospital with pneumonia. It is really bad for her. I hope she pulls through. I don't know if she got the vaccinations or not. Sara

Rico, Thanks for the information. We don't have that sort of item around here because the south is mostly of protestant faith. There is a Catholic church here now but we don't hear much about it. Sara

Victor, There are three people living here and we all came down with the virus the same day. We are all doing better but it is still really hard to make it each day because of the fatigue and weakness. Sara
