Covid 19 6 Week Update

Six weeks in to this lockdown
People now are beginning to frown
Queuing up is now the norm
Hold on tight ride this storm

Complacency Could make you sick
Social distancing is the trick
Don't be fooled by the stats
It's like a bed with broken slats

I understand we've had the peak
The death toll is playing hide n seek.
Up and down like a roller coaster
Please please look at the NHS poster

We all know it's not easy
Staying in won't make you queasy
If you break the lockdown rule
Then you are a real fool

While we wait for the government plan
Get your homes spik and span
So Thursday is the day of finding
Until then at least stay in hiding

If it's not what you wanted
Don't shout and get agitated
Its been decided for your own sake
Its a decision I couldn't make

So yesterday's figure was seemingly lower
At 288 deaths it's nearly over
Then today a total of 693
Lockdown needs to remain can't you see

This poem is written Tuesday 5th of May
In your home you must stay
This is not the time to disagree
From this virus we cannot flee

Let it ride it's unjust course
As it's a nasty virus with no remorse
The Keyworkers and those who do good
Should be awarded with a knighthood

So here's my message to you all
Think of the vulnerable they can easily fall
Think of those people in surgical gowns
Please I beg you STAY IN LOCKDOWN

You're right Gordon, it's not over by a long shot, just saw Scotland are extending their lockdown for another three weeks, wise move. Stay safe Tom
