Poise, strong, sun bleach form, an old covered bridge from long ago, nestling in an old forest grove. While water flows beneath its sole, a refuge of passage between two worlds. 8/28/2017

This is Russell's wife typing in for Russell, he told me to stop and read your poem to him. He said, "This is a wonderful write my friend. You have written a magnificent poem. I love covered bridges and your poem writes about them wonderfully. Thank you for your well wishes, I'm doing a little better, still in pain though as I don't like pain meds, they make me feel awful. Your poem is exceptional, I loved it, great work." I liked it too Eve.

Thank you both, you made my day. This was a quick write... I placed myself in front of an old covered bridge I use to sketch. I wish I could remember where I have the photos so I could have used it. Russell, I'm glad you are doing a little better and I pray that the pain goes away... Take cared dear friend and listen to your wife and doctor.... Hugs Eve
