Courage
The first time we met I was dazzled by eyes blue,
and we fell in love and instantly stuck like glue.
Always your velvet deep voice could hypnotise me,
and when you said marry me I said yes with glee.
Soon the doctor said a baby is on the way,
we were so happy until that horrible day.
In a grave our baby boy was laid to rest,
we struggled with grief and really tried our best.
You were so quiet and I tried to encourage,
you died in winter- now, I go on with courage.
