Courage

Against this gnawing feeling,
I resign to have no power.
It feels as though days have passed,
Though its been scarely an hour.
Every moment since has been spent
Just wondering about your day.
Did you get some sleep last night?
I wish there were some other way.

These thought I continue to push aside,
To bury deep within.
For I know you’ll still be there,
When finally this torture ends.
Strength I find in your constant love,
I wake up for the smile in your eyes.
I keep going for this love we’ve found,
Which two hearts forever ties.
