couple as close as cojoined twins

Mr and Mrs Lattimore are not unlike conjoined twins
they go everywhere together
store, movie, restaurant, doctor’s, dentist,
it is as if they share a spinal column or a breast plate

prior to marriage they had separate names
separate lives
separate friends
separate relatives

they might as well sell their second car
it has not been used since their wedding twelve years ago
one of them is a relative
it might as well be both

they sit together at a table
answer questions directed to the other
if you call, you are put on speaker
speaking to both, never just one

I wonder if they use the same public restroom?
