Country Acrostic

Canada the home of my birth
open sky from sea to shining sea
unbelievable beauty captivates my heart
no other place I would rather live
teaming with wildlife trees and lakes
rising rocky mountains in the west
yesterday, today and tomorrow a part of me

A very nicely written acrostic, Richard! Clearly you have great pride in your country, as we all should! I reside in Wisconsin, so this sounds a lot like a description of where I live. Well done, and I wish you good luck in the contest!...Thank you for the nice comments. I really appreciate it!

Beautiful patriotic expression, through out this wonderful poem. I've only been to Toronto, this yr actually to visit my cousins. I thought it was beautiful, I want to really explore more. Landscapes & different areas. I had a lovely trip there & can't wit to visit again. The malls where outstanding, lol not that I'm a big shopper but honestly a beautiful place, for sure:0)

To bad you didn't get to see some of the more natural surroundings. Toronto is a great city though.

Oh Canada...our home and native land....True patriot love....in all thy sons' command...Well, my SIS-in-law...with parents living in Kelowna...would LOVE this. My brother got his Ph.D from the University of Calgary. They were in Kelowna this last summer and my brother's comment? The fresh air...the quiet....the beauty...Yes, beautiful Canada...You captured this well! :)

I'd love to see Banff one day! I read about it in these Christian novels by Janette Oak about the Canadian Mounties....Must be breathtaking....
