Counting
You count on your safety as you crawl around
And count on your parents to not let you down
You count on your lessons to find your way
Counting on what's learned, to be there to stay
You'll be counting money, sheep and stars above
When you need to buy, or to sleep, or to love
You count on the clock, so you won't be late
After counting calories of food you ate
That's a lot of counting, make sure of your math
Something not counted on may be in your path
Then over the hill's where you start to count down
Slowly then one by one when there's no one around
Hoping you're remembered as more good than bad
You punch out, counting all the blessings you had!
