Countdown of Silver Coins

Into the potter’s field, the countdown of silver
coins, clinking out the betrayal of the potter,
who formed the traitor with his holy hands,
who let him join his circle, hear a host of words
from the mouth of “I Am.” He looked directly
into Judas’ eyes, called him friend. In the end,
Judas hung himself from a tree, over the field.

           and then he himself fell
           with a lasting clink -

and the Lord said, “…But woe to that man
who betrays the Son of Man! It would be
better for him if he had not been born.” *
