Cotton Wool Love Thief Slam
I took a pen to bed with me 1 night
That only i could tell
To comfort all my nightmares away
You see i passed my exams
By counting the wool on sheep
And woke up in another street
With only your face for cover
6 feet under blossoming flower
Winter had passed and gone
Hibernating in a soil coffin
Death has taught me patience
For love is just a cowboy
Searching for a horse
To fit his saddle
And shelter one from the rain
So baby ill ride the Plaines
If that's what you want me too
And I'll carve you name
Into every tree i cross
Until i come across a pen
To take to my bed
And clear the cotton wool from my head
Then I'll build you a shed
For niceties in to keep
With roses for window's
And a milking stool on which to sit
And I'll love you as much
As this prison you can take
So let your hair down my queen
And start plotting your escape
Until the leaves can't breath
And the tree's are felled
To make a stake to drive through my heart
Till death do us part
