Notes About The Poem

Cotton flowers untarnished

The gentle beauty of your blooms
are delicate and exquisite to the touch ~
your history's fraught with wrongdoing
but through ne'er fault of your own

I remember picking cotton in my great aunt's fields.....they are beautiful...shame they became symbolic of something less than beautiful
