Cost Of Living

Have you priced a roast or a steak lately, or tried filling your tank with gasoline? The cost of living has increased greatly, while companies blame it on going green. Corporations are raking in billions while some struggle to buy food and pay rent. I recall when houses didn't cost millions and people valued coins, even a cent. Greed sets the price that we're willing to pay; with no limits and no apologies. Those in power view poor people as prey, and bleed us dry with new technologies. Rising costs fuel the anxiety prevalent in modern society.

Nice poem, sums things up to a tea, Our council has decided seen as though it's a leap year we pay 51 weeks rent, we get 2 weeks free during the year, there isn't 53 weeks in a year, but yes they sure want more. Plus other companies trying to make more out of the leap year. It's an extra day not an extra week Haha.

Hello emile, I agree with you. The prices of of a condo it too high. slo iare apartments. . they are asked to leave so the redoing of the apartment can be done. then when the people return they have to pay more to stay . it is not fair. People can not afford high prices. My friend enjoy your evening my friend. /Darlene/

Hi Emile. I enjoyed your sonnet. It sums up the way things are going. 'Greed sets the price we're all obliged to pay.' Yes, many face anxiety in our modern society. Best wishes. Tony
