Cosmic Consciousness

Cosmic Consciousness

                                       Within immense universe

                                       Human is a desert mirage

                                       Ancient being in search of

                                       His veiled mysterious past

                                       Brandishes worthless gold

                                       As wisdom opens the path

                                       To enlightenment that last

We are just motes in this vast universe as chimerical as the desert mirage! Still we think we are something !

Hi Valsa, I always appreciate your visit and input! In my humble opinion, humans can become radiant beings, part of an eternal consciousness, as long as humanity can change course, change a virulent, destructive attitude towards his own blood, and all other forms of life on Earth, be more tolerant, kind and sympathetic to all, then humanity might see a brighter tomorrow for the next thousand generations, if our kind don't become extinct first. Take care always...ab

A desert mirage. Love this phrase. After all man compared to the universe is but a grain of sand.

Beautiful! Incidentally, Anselmo, I was at an open-air market in Lake Worth while I was in Florida last week. Beautiful poem; beautiful place!

Thanks so much Milt for the ++remark! Here's a belated warm and sandy Florida welcome, I know you've taken a few sabbaticals in different cities here in the past. Fascinating you drifted to Lake Worth, I hope the market you went to sold you some good edibles!...ab
