Cosi Profona Mente Mio (So Deeply Mine)

Our souls meet, craving answers that the night
sometimes withholds as

vulnerability speaks hurriedly, in foreign tongues
that assume you are the centre of my thoughts.

If I tell you the truth, will you still love me?

Honor me?
    Trust me?
         Treasure me?
               Be true to me?

Will I be your perfect fantasy, imperfectly...
for only then, will you become the

                                                Cenro dei pensieri miei.
