Corners
A right angle turn
makes a perfect corner ceiling.
This is where my eyes wander,
a place to huddle.
I sometimes find myself here,
always after midnight,
thinking, contemplating, questioning
life's constant battles.
My corner of solitude and solace
has a nurturing presence,
maybe it’s the simplicity
of the geometric design.
It is here
where my complexity,
can find soothing simplicity,
in all the corners of my mind.
This passage,
through many a longing night,
now angles become angels
never to be a fight.
