Cornered
I better run away,
I should go and hide;
The marks you left are deep;
Lingering just below the surface
where they know they will survive;
You took my soul and whispered
‘You will never be the same again.’;
Now the teeth you bared are lethal,
but you taught me how to bite;
Just what to do with undetectable poison,
now I’m wearing your disguise;
It’s not good to leave me unkept,
soaring like a light speed comet;
All desire and no direction
now what am I to do with it?
Look in the mirror taste the tip of rage,
now I’ve stolen your perfect eyes;
I better go away,
You should go and hide
the marks you left are deep,
You taught me what to do when cornered,
You left me invincible in a fight.
