Corner of My Eye

If I have to watch him from the corner of my eye That tells me this thing between us is one big lie Filled with headaches, suspicion and doubt My loves in jeopardy, too late I’m already turned out I wish there were a button to turn off my love Push him off a cliff with one good shove Is there some anti-love pill I could take? So I don’t have to watch every move he makes Find someone else deserving of my love so dear Then snap my fingers so he can disappear I’m so pissed my love is wasted on this guy, As I watch him hopelessly from the corner of my eye.

The heart wants what it wants. I like how you play with your words. A bit of tongue in cheek. Well done poet. Hugs Rick.
