Cork In the Bottle

I've spent a lot of time a drinking
running with the wrong crowd
while I gave up the only thing
that made my life worthwhile 

Well I've said goodbye to loved ones
and I've burned a bridge or two
just me and this bottle
in a lonely hotel room

I'll put the cork back on the bottle
put the bottle on the shelf
stay with me tonight my friend
your all that I have left

I've spent my life life in bar rooms
drinking with my friends
I've stayed out late,done things wrong
this life I lead must end

I'll come down off this highway
get down on my knees
stay with me tonight my Lord
and make this my last plead

And I'll put the cork back on the bottle
put the bottle on the shelf
pray with me tonight my Lord
your all that I have left.....

Christians pray with their hands clasped tightly together so there god can't give them anything. But you don't need any god's help to change your attitude and your life! Aloha! Rico
