Corinthians

we have everything
on the plate
it's like an open
buffet

you can pick and
choose
which and what
ever you

want and snub the
brussels
sprouts that you once
hated

as a child but now
it's time
to put away childish
things...

no
nope
not ever
doing that

for being like a child
is to be
just like an open
opportunity

everyday the sunrise
and sunset
becomes a newly
unwrapped

present that presents
itself each
in its own form and from
as if new eyes

to see as well as does the
first and next
time seeing a bird fly
always new

always new
i knew
you and now
know

i want to
play
with you
everyday

It's all there, set and open to choice ... Things are already known, but the ways of looking can be different ... all because the same gift is different, depending on the look... It's good to always play ... Salute Jeff, alkas

Thank you Alkas, but this was a take on the biblical Corinthians. I forget what chapter and verse, but the one that states "put away your childish things. I'll always be a kid at heart Alkas. Thanks so much.

I've thought of myself many ways but never as an 'open opportunity.' I love it. Have a great day my friend.

Thank you so much David. Especially, to me you, the great writer of wonderment and everyone's inner child.
