Copper Flavored Truth

pennies to my name
water for breakfast
water for lunch
water for dinner
sleeping with mad cramps
dreaming about food, kaleidoscopes, and multicolored spots
sunday is the favorite pastime
loneliness is the new soap
everything stinks because i stink
everything has halitosis because i have halitosis
tears fall on the pennies
tears make my pennies shine
pennies are my 401k
peeing out my energy
peeing out my protein and my iron
peeing to simply lighten the load
wishing that my car will keep working
wishing that my car had some type of heat source when it is off
wishing i would have tried harder to obtain employment
as a result, here i am
as a result, here i go
as a result, i say once again before sleep takes over, 'one day it'll all be over'
