Coordinate My Brain and My Heart

Are you up for the ride in this thing they call love
Do you think we’ll be happy when it’s all said and done

You’re thinking too much you tell me as much
Just follow my lead and take the big jump

Run with your heart, don’t let your mind rule
For experience tells, the mind can be cruel

If love flowed as should
We wouldn’t need books

To explain people’s feelings
Or create relationship healing

What if my mind tells me go
Or if it even shouts no

I think there is something to be said for a brain
No don’t let your mind keep your heart in restraints

It has too many rules and regulations to maintain
And your heart craves the passion life offers to take

Come and let’s go
Please don’t tell me no

Oh how can I coordinate my brain and my heart
I have to just think, now where do I start
