Cookies

Crunchy circles of joy
cool on a baking tray,
creamy icing at hand.
Cold milk anticipates
chunky chocolate chips.
Crumbs spill with every bite,
calories forgotten.

Leileah, I loved your poem. I kept going back and forth between yours and the number two winners but finally decided to give first place to cookies since of the ones in first and second place, Cookies was my favorite of the Xmas treats and you really did a GREAT job with your lines. ESPECIALLY the last two lines. They are really cute! Congrats.
