Conversing With My Past Self
I asked my past self,
"what would you prefer,
watching a late night soccer game,
or sky gazing?"
He replied "Watching a late night soccer game".
I asked my past self,
"who would you like to spend
Christmas Eve with,
your best friend or family?"
He replied "Of course, best friend!"
I asked my past self,
"what would you do if you won a thousand
dollars in a jackpot?"
He replied "Have a weekend party at my place!"
I asked my past self,
"what do you think about love?"
He thought for a while, and replied
"love is a fantasy".
I asked my past self,
"is life based on luck or miracles."
He snarled at me mockingly,
and shouted "Luck!"
Today,
I find peace in nature;
I appreciate my parents;
I spend money wisely;
I have a loving wife;
I feel blessed each day!
