Conversations At Night
Hello There,
It's me again;
Still calling up from the darkness without a single friend.
You say you're doing well?
I am happy for you.
Will I return to life again?
I don't know; only time can tell.
Hello There,
Ghosts in my halls.
Spirits of a better life --
Golden ages pass as eternity calls.
Hello There,
You shadows dancing on my walls,
Celebrating memories of bliss.
Please continue longer so my wounded heart can capture memories of this.
Hello There,
Yes, hello there; I am dying slowly.
Do you know?
Do you care?
Hello There,
You silent night.
Blanket me; I need my sleep, to handle a world in sin so deep.
Shelter me from the evil that lurks behind the shadows.
Keep me in the light of the pale moon that calms us as we sleep.
