Conversations

Could I stand just being there
Making out that you do care
Don’t let your eyes wander
When they’re talking and you ponder
How long it will last until the end
Don’t wonder if you will need it to defend

There are words and phrases you don’t like
And you think about them using them in spite
But what will it matter to me
Thinking at last just let me be free.
