Contritely Contradict
I feel the spirit of humanity
within the collective beat of Man's heart.
Theologically, Man's soul is an
intangible eternal counterpart.
I sense Man's struggle to be civilized,
but the animal within can't be tamed.
Evil is a corruptive influence
that schemes for control but is never named.
I fear the shared brutality of Man
and the pain He is willing to inflict.
Despite Man's construct of God, He believes
it's His right to contritely contradict.
I see humanity outside the box,
where spirituality is achieved.
The potential for Faith's accomplishments
is more than Man initially believed.
