Contrary to Popular Opinion

      Contrary to popular opinion
      the man of the house
         does not even share dominion

with his wife, who runs the whole show
determining who comes and who goes

~ leading him around by the nose

Hi Gershon, back in the day my mother ruled the roost. My father was the breadwinner, but my mother was the boss. Made for some interesting situations, lol! My late husband was the main breadwinner, and the boss, lol! Great penning. Shalom!

Hello Gershon, Well you deliver with wit with a wink, poking fun at the old idea of “man of the house” while cleverly revealing who really runs things at home. I love that it reflects the reality that, despite stereotypes, women often manage household decisions and daily life. Oh, such dynamic humor and honesty-sometimes, the real power is in who leads from behind the scenes! LOL! Spring Blessings, My Friend, Daniel

Daniel, yours is really a special kind of review/critique. You are a professional in an amateur setting here. ~ gw

My son asked my granddaughter once "do you want to to Papa's house?" Her reply "Papa doesn't have a house, Grammy has a house".....she was about four years old at the time

Hey, it's the way of the world, M.T. A man's home is his castle --- when he's single. lol.

Could be worse, at least you’ve given me a laugh, I suppose… Beryl (Still laughing, it’s that last line.)
