Continued Forgiveness

Your continued forgiveness
Is beyond my ability to comprehend.
I’m not worthy of the price you paid
No one is.
Thanks for paying the price for me.

Stumbling in the dark too much
Yes, that path is wide and comfortable.
It is not where my spirit wants to be,
But my weak flesh drags my soul there.
Thanks for paying the price for me.

When I flee the dark for light
I feel as I’m crossing the Red Sea.
A wall of temptation on my left and right,
A dry, straight, and narrow path before me.
Thanks for paying the price for me.

When I reach the shore of the righteous
I pause long enough to watch the walls of water
Continue to wash away the dark fleshly things.
My spirit rejoices in the lighted path, where it wants to be.
Thanks for paying the price for me.

Thanks for your Word,
Thanks for the Holy Spirit,
Thanks for prayers,
Thanks for forgiveness,
Thanks for the lighted path.
Thanks for paying the price for me.

Robert, this is a beautiful prayer that bears repeating, by others. :)
