Continue On
Continue on.....we walk to the beat of a different drum,
but we all walk on the same path to kingdom come.
The roads we walk, leaves footprints behind.
Footprints on paper we so well define.
In case someone gets lost along the way,
we've mapped it out, so they will not stray.
We continue walking to the beat of a different drum,
we're all heading in the direction of kingdom come.
There is no race for us to compete,
just emotions we want to unleash.
Our life will never end,
we'll always be remember then.
And whether it seemed at the time,
right on the edge of insanity
of hopelessness and despairity,
we read someone's poetry....
and have a laugh at humanity.
And even though we walk to the beat of a different drum.
Our poetry we'll carry to kingdom come.
On paper are footprints we'll have left behind,
our gift, we hope you find.
Our minds may go blank at times,
small footprints we leave will do just fine.
Continue forward everyday....
one step at a time....
pen in hand,
write something today.
