Contemplation of Life's Path
"The artist should paint not only what he has in front of him but also what he sees inside himself." Quote by Caspar David Friedrich on his painting "Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog."
--------------------------------------------------------------
Gazing at man gazing distant mountains
Fog stretches below, before both gazers
Non-dominant foot forward, weighing mind
Will taking risks benefit one's skilled life?
Is contemplation enough to see same?
Fog of lies tries to mingle truth at sky
A humble stick not enough to scale heights
Yet, is handy along the reeds, rambles
The choicest feet prefer to leave no marks
Far away rocks promise solid comfort
Taking perilous path is Hamlet's task
Life, a known journey towards unknown. See.
